Call me crazy, but I sense that either the author is not tapped into Occupy enough to realize that Occupy has been a "constructive program" from day one (i.e. the occupation itself was at least intended to be a model of the sort of society its founders envisioned) or Occupy hasn't done a good enough job at communicating this, such that even someone who is published as a commentator on Occupy isn't aware of it. This means that either Occupy needs to do more to create this "alternative society"--i.e. continuing to develop a credit union and workers coops--or be better at getting the word about them out there.
