Twitter follows, FB admins, and ......

Today i have been busy doing housecleaning that shouldnt have to be
done but "we" have been following non occupy related people while
ignoring many other very relevant people and groups in our struggle.
Can we please "unfollow" irrelevant people like Charlie Sheen, Dr.
Drew, or the NBA players. Take some time if you can to go through
this and help us organize this.
Can we also come to consensus that we should only be following
relevant people and groups? Also come up with who we should be
following? I've already "followed" Occupy the Hood, OLB and a few
others we didn't have.
FB Admins,
We said and consented to deleteing FB admins who were no longer part
of the group. I can't delete them as i don't have a password for
that. It's confusing but we need to get the password thing rresolved,
send a message to nonactive Admins and delete them off for now. Robin
can you help with this?
We need to have a Twitter class soon as i'm trying to learn but am a
bit of a big dumb animal.

Specifically Occupy related stuff and local-ish Occupy related peeps only. That's my two cents. If we want to grow our membership this is a great tool. But if we have hundreds waiting to join us but they can't because we have tons of peeps from Pakistan and other places abroad instead, that just seems crazy.

Opinion: Twitter - OV should follow Occupy Friendly orgainizations and
activists on issues OVcares about. Homeless organizations, GMO free
food activists, free speech etc.. Occupy Communities.
Follow/Un-Follow. We should from time to time check who we follow &
who doesn't follow us and vice versa. Use Twitter as not just a tool
but an outreach opportunity. Keep track of stats so we know what works
& what doesn't. FaceBook - Friend acct should be kept for SoCal only.
Community, encourage everyone from everywhere to Like & converse but

I was talking about cleaning up Twitter followers.
We'll see how Robins doing with cleaning up the FB page soon.
We also don't have any list started....at all. Can someone educate me
on how this works?

Twitter Lists works the same way (or close to it) as FB Lists. You can
add Twitter followers to a list you have created - let's say OV Garden
& OV Art Events. People who don't want to know about art events but do
want to know about gardens are seperated in the List. When you have a
garden event you choose the right list and that tweet will only be
read by those assigned by the list. Different from FB - you can choose
to have the list public or private. There are also lists you can join
to be notified by anyone on that list of a tweet regarding the subject
matter... There are a few more details but I believe that's the
basics.

also can people look at our group decriptors on twitter and FB and
let's rewrite those. I erased the part on FB that said we are the
100% and changed it to the 99%. The descriptors in my opinion don't
represent us and are a lil soft and naive. my opinion.

Twitter training: I believe Les (geek friend of mine) has a video on
Twitter 101. I'll ask & if he does I can make a copy or two of the CD.
If not, go to Lyndia.com (on my phone / can't look up) and look to see
if there is a free course in Twitter. I don't think I know anyone
locally who would be willing to teach a Twitter class (beyond basics)
for free. For basic Twitter know how, I can do a decent job.

Descps are important, especially on Twitter because Google & Twitter
are buddies - i.e. What goes in Twitter comes out in Google Search -
photos, tweets, links & dscrps. It also plays in a lot of Twitter
tools that pull data. If the descps are soft and one without good
keywords, the tool pulling the data from Twitter will most likely bury
our Twitter acct rarely to be found even if the word Venice and or
Occupy are used...a lot of Twitter tools are also location based. So
