Hey all,

Great meeting last night as The Good Book guided us with truth and
justice! It was a perfect night for training as we had very few
proposals and were allowed to relax a little. I'll keep a few
observations short and sweet.

I'm glad Kaitlyn stacked and Paul Fac'd as the two roles are indeed co-
facilitators and share the responsibility. There was talk of both of
them Fac'ing. I'm glad that wasn't the case as that would have been 2
Fac and a stacker and 3 voices is too many. We have stated before,
Stacker and Fac are a dual role that is gender balanced and if they
are less experienced than someone can Co-Fac with them but would be a
quite helper.

A point of clarity the way i understand it is the googlegroups are for
idea discussion and fleshing things out, they are not a substitute for
a working group that meets on a regular basis before the GA. Paul
expressed to me that "it's been decided" that he and Kaitlyn would Co-
Fac. As i VERY much want both of them to Fac i feel it goes against
consensus to say "it's been decided". I should have been on the
thread and explained how the balance works so there would'nt be any
misunderstandings.

We did go back alot of time to people simply raising a finger and
talking with out being on stack or using the correct hand signals. At
times it felt like an open discussion than moving the process along.
When i Fac i mention at least twice and encourage all to show there
emotions with hand signals. Kaitlyn expressed that she didn't want to
cut people off without support of the group. We all make it a
collective think process when we constantly show our emotions and take
the Fac/speaker confrontation away. It helps alot!

One guy in a white T who came in late , is a great guy and i like him,
used the word "idiot" when talking about Demands. He was
inadvertently talking about Bob who was right below him. This should
NEVER happen and any language that is not productive, inclusive, and
beneficial should be called out and suggestions for a better way to
express yourself recommended.

Some of the conversation started to become heated in the proposal
about demands/objectives with direct back and forth between
individuals. At this point a "Vibes Check" should have been given to
de-escalate the tone of voice and tension. We haven't talked about
that yet but we need to address and present it in the next GA so that
it's understood.

When "Taking Temperature" for consensus on a proposal the Fac team
should hold the "Process" sign up so everyone else can show how they
feel first. If the Fac team shows how they feel the group naturally
follows what the fac team is doing. It's not intentional but i
watched it happen a few times last night. We need to be as neutral as
possible and understand people are going to "follow" us if we give
signals.

Talk more about this fun stuff soon, C

Group,

Point of clarification, I facilitated last nights meeting and Kaitlyn stacked and helped with the hand signals because the print on the guide was too small for me to see and it was also dark. There is nothing wrong with two people working as a team, the important thing is to have a seamless enjoyable meeting, and based on the feedback I we receive, we absolutely achieved that.

Chris and I had pretty strong words before the meeting about the strangle hold he had on the previous meeting, not only from a facilitating perspective, but how he overall monopolized the floor. It would have been nice if there was at least one other person there with me, but I am not backing away from this issue and I will continue to peacefully try to see that male super ego's do not suffocate this movement at what I consider to be a very critical time.

Our planet, our continent, and out nation are in real peril! This is not my opinion, this is the opinion of countless highly respected scholars across the globe. OUR movement is the first step in the process of changing the world, it is a huge undertaking, and WE need everyone including myself to be as selfless as humanly possible. Just a thought.

In Solidarity,

Paul

My comments above were to address issues that occurred during the
GA and to discuss those. If we would like to move forward and
discuss those issues than this is the place to do that. Does anyone
have thoughts on the issues i presented?

Do we agree that noone should be called an "idiot" during the GA?
ect...

I don't care to readdress any conversation or arguement here as it
already happened and we're here to move the conversation forward
instead of backward. We can voice our concerns tonight at the Fac
working group and we can a have a group discussion about these
topics. I encourage us never to have a 1 on 1 debate but discuss
heated or emotional concerns with others so we can build links and
come to consensus with others. This is not talking behind the back
but rather avoiding accusatory name calling and confrontation that is
not beneficial to anyone. I have agreed with everyones observations
on the previous thread and have not gotten into a defensive arguement
about it. I am trying to move it forward and because of my pleas for
others to facilitate Kaitlyn, Paul, Wes, Leia, Molly, and others have
made the pledge and stepped up. That to me is progress and i can't say
anyone has worked harder to pull others to the front, step up and me
step back than i have. Thats why i made the Good Book.

See everyone tonight, Gracias. C
