Here's a film ripe for a screening - before the "Patriot Act" there was the "Effective Anti-Terrorism and Death Penalty Act of 1996" - AKA the "Kill Mumia Act" of 1996.
As originally put forward - it contained several elements later included in the "Patriot Act(s)". But as our 'Liberal' Senator, Dianne Feinstien said at the time, " Mr. Chairman, I don't think that the American people are ready for this, yet." (emphasis added)
