Arts update

Wanted to just mention some updates re: art stuff (as we haven't had time to hold an Arts WG mtg in a while).
 
Danny, who owns Danny's Deli, James Beach, and the Canal Club, offered to let someone curate a political art show on the walls of his restaurants. I spoke with him a few months back and we welcomed us to coordinate something. We have 4 artists and 3 photogs already lined up (mostly pulled from the Occupy Art Show we hosted a few months back) but need more. No date yet, but we should nail one and move on it. We'd likely fill the back room of James Beach (CAVE Gallery is there on Art Crawls most months) and the dining room as well. The stuff would be up a 3-4 weeks. Thinkaboutit.
 
And my friend Raymond Gaston is putting together a new magazine next month and Occupy is the theme for the inaugural issue. He asked OV to submit occupy/populist art stuff anytime. His email for submissions is:
