Hi Finn,

Please forward this to anyone you know in the Richmond or anywhere nearby -- or come yourself if you're interested.

Thanks,

Gifford

Greetings,

We're planning our first ever Occupy the Richmond District meeting this Saturday (April 28th) at 2:00 p.m. at the meadow next to Mountain Lake (accessible from 11th Avenue north of where it crosses Lake Street), right next to the tennis courts.

Like the movement started last September with Occupy Wall Street and pushed to its most radical extremes by Occupy Oakland this past fall, we'd like to form a neighborhood network to support each other in this time of crisis. But it's up to whoever comes to the meeting to set the direction of what's possible. I'd suggest discussing ways of being supportive around issues of tenancy, solidarity for workplace struggles, and basic mutual aid to make sure all of us and our friends, comrades and allies have material -- and emotional -- support in their times of need. Please come and bring your friends and your ideas.

If it's raining, I'll send out another announcement with a cafe in the Inner Richmond where we'll meet.

Solidarity,

Gifford

Please pass this on to anyone else you know who might be interested.
