The MASS*UNITING* coalition has been engaged in the fight for a fair
economy in Massachusetts since early 2011 -- pushing for action on job
creation, standing against corporate tax dodgers, and exposing businesses
that violate workers' rights. We have organized in communitiesÂ’ hardest-hit
by the economic crisis and channeled peoples' anger and frustrations into
direct action against the corporations, politicians and financial
institutions that are responsible for the growing economic divide.

I would like to speak with you and others about the impact companies like
Bain Capital have had on our neighborhoods -- and potentially identify
workers who have been impacted by these policies.
When it comes to taking advantage of employees, Bain Capital is one of the
worst offenders in the Boston area. Bain owns a huge stake in local
companies like Dunkin' Donuts, Burlington Coat Factory, Outback Steakhouse
and Toys R Us -- where allegations of keeping people at minimum wage,
robbing workers of overtime pay and forcing employees to train
off-the-clock are being investigated. Coincidentally, the company was
founded by *Mitt Romney*, who has largely built his campaigns for public
office on the experience he gained at Bain Capital.

As part of this fight, we're hoping to expose the true poverty of the "Bain
Economy" by identifying members of the community who work for Bain
Capital-owned companies (check out the full list at
http://www.baincapitalprivateequity.com/Investments/Default.aspx). By
working together and sharing their stories, we can make a real difference
and begin to turn the tide on the big corporations that take advantage of
our community.
We've seen first-hand the kind of impact poverty has on individuals, family
structures, and the overall quality of life within our community. Companies
like Bain are increasing their profits by eliminating jobs and reducing
wages and benefits for our friends and neighbors. They're doing everything
they can to move people into poverty and keep them there -- and it's about
time we fought back.
I look forward to speaking with you in the near future, and can be reached
at the contact information below in the meantime. Thank you for your
attention to this matter.
