Some members of Congress are once again poised to undermine DC’s local authority, and we need your help to stop them. Today we learned that a draft of the FY 2014 Financial Services and General Government Appropriations Bill includes a provision barring the District from using local funds to provide women struggling to make ends meet the ability to make the personal decision to end a pregnancy without interference. We need you to act today because tomorrow, Wednesday, July 10 at 9:30 AM, the House Financial Services and General Government subcommittee will consider the DC spending bill. Please contact congress <http://www.congressweb.com/DCV/19> and tell them to respect the rights of District residents by opposing this unjust limit on how DC can spend its local tax dollars.
