Calling ALL DC Statehood Supporters:
 
What to DC is the 4th of July? -- It's a time to get the community involved in DC Statehood, send our message to our political leaders and to have fun!  The DC Statehood contingent has grown each year and so has the enthusiastic response of the crowd!  Let's continue the tradition. Stand Up! for Democracy in DC (Free DC!) has marched in the Palisades 4th of July parade and picnic for many years, with DC Statehood as our theme; with DC Statehood banners, fliers, shirts and caps. Come join the many other supporters of DC Statehood at the parade.

WHAT:  39th Annual Palisades 4th of July Parade

WHEN:   Friday, July 4th, 2014 - Parade Steps off at 11:00 am ends around 2 pm; please meet the DC Statehood Groups no later than 10:30 am - just look for the DC Statehood signs and banners!  There will be lots of participants, people on the sidelines and aspiring political candidates to see our DC Statehood message.

WHERE:  Corner of Whitehaven Pkwy & MacArthur Blvd (near Our Lady of Victory School, 4755 Whitehaven Pkwy, NW) in very upper NW Washington, DC

Please arrive no later than 10:30 am and look for the DC Statehood signs banners and clothing.  Please bring any DC Statehood signs or paraphernalia that you have you made or already have!

After the parade, there will be a cookout, music, prizes, moon bounces, and games for the kids.
