Celebrate 50th Anniversary of 1963 March on Washington

I am posting this notice for the D.C. Statehood Coalition.

Thousands will gather at the National Mall this Saturday, August 24th, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the 1963 March on Washington.  D.C. residents will be there representing every neighborhood, including Chevy Chase, and marching for statehood.
 
D.C. marchers will meet at 8:30 am at the District of Columbia War Memorial across from the MLK memorial, on the north side of Independence Avenue.  We will proceed at 9:30 am to the Lincoln Memorial to join the main march.  Click here:

Bring your family, friends and neighbors.  Carry statehood signs to highlight the statehood movement to a national audience.

Want to travel with Ward 3 marchers?  Ward 3 marchers will gather at the Cleveland Park metro entrance at 7:00 am; and at the Tenleytown metro entrance at 7:15 for a 7:30 departure.
