Please sign on to the letter on the DC Fiscal Policy Institute web site (www.dcfpi.org <http://www.dcfpi.org> ). When you get to the web site, go to the District’s Dime and click on those words to view the full blog. Then on the right, click on MAYOR GRAY: KEEP DC ESSENTIAL, scroll down and sign onto the letter.
Mayor Gray has called a community meeting for tonight. I think Statehood advocates should attend in t-shirts and urge him to continue spending our local tax dollars on our local needs in spite of the shut down. Information about when and where is at the end of this message.
Speaking of t-shirts, I’ve attached two fabulous pictures of people in “I am essential” t-shirts.
