SESSION 4: TODAY'S CRISIS - PART I
In this session we will begin to look into the root causes of today’s
difficulties. There are both historical and structural reasons why the
economy has experienced the tightening of credit, lower asset
valuations, and increasing inflation. We will quickly see that today’s
crisis is far more than “just a sub-prime mortgage problem." A second
session on this issue will follow next Tuesday, January 24th.
**Please note: After this week the class will be held on a weekly
basis every Tuesday night.
