New Economy Class - Session 2: What Is Money & How Is It Created?
Facilitator: Derek Tennant

This is the second session for a bi-weekly class on A New Economy
facilitated by Derek Tennant. In this class, we examine our current
economic system and explore alternatives that may augment or replace
it in equitable and sustainable ways.
In this session we will explore where our money comes from: who
decides how much money to print? Where do loans come from? Why are so
many people calling for an audit of the Federal Reserve, and how will
that inform the public debt about future bailouts? We will explore a
brief history of the many monetary systems the U.S. has experienced
through its history; the Federal Reserve System is not yet 100 years
old.
