NONVIOLENT COMMUNICATION - PART 3: REQUESTS

NEW ECONOMY CLASS - SESSION 7: POTPOURRI
Tuesday, February 21, 7-9pm
San Jose Peace & Justice Center, 48 South 7th Street, San Jose

In this class we will begin to wrap up the loose ends of our analysis of how our economy came into crisis. This week we will introduce some issues at the edge of the debate over how to correct the economy, issues that affect us directly. This includes issues such as taxation, energy’s impact on the economy, inflation and debt. $0-10 Suggested Donation for SJ Peace & Justice Center. No one turned away for lack of funds. (More Info)


IMMIGRANTS IN US LABOR HISTORY
Thursday, February 23, 7-9pm
CHAM Office, 949 E. San Fernando St., San Jose

In this class and discussion we will explore the question of immigrants in US labor movements and labor history. As we look forward to the May 1 mobilizations, a day that has historically brought labor and immigrant rights issues together in San Jose, this class will help us to explore how these struggles are still deeply interconnected.
