Joseph, the father of one of our founding members at Occupy San Jose,
is about to lose his home to foreclosure by Bank of America. Joseph is
an 89 year-old San Jose Veteran who is currently ill, in hospice care,
and unable to fight to keep his home. His home was paid for in full
until he was offered a predatory loan by Bank of America for home
improvements.

PACT (People Acting in Community Together) is organizing their annual
Posada, a reenactment of the story of Joseph and Mary asking for
shelter, to highlight the plight of people like Joseph who are
struggling against banks to keep their homes. Typically the Posada
goes from home to home, but this year’s posada will go bank to bank.

Occupy San Jose will join CHAM and Joseph’s son David in this Posada
to demand a moratorium on foreclosures during the months of December
and January.

Please walk with us tomorrow to stand up against the kind of cruelty
and indignity that is being suffered by members of our community.
