On Wed, April 19th, We the People MA/North Shore will hold our monthly meeting in Salem at the School of Social Work which is at the corner of Lafayette and Ocean Avenue (287 Lafayette) in room #105. This about 2 blocks toward downtown Salem from the intersection of Lafayette and Loring.
The meeting will start at 7 pm. We will be discussing progress on the bill we are sponsoring in the Legislature this year as well as outreach and education, house parties.
Hopefully we will also have a lot to share from the event THIS THURSDAY at Marsh Hall, Petrowski Room (Rm 210)
1 Loring Ave. Jeff Clements, author of Corporations Are Not People: Why They Have More Rights Than You Do And What We Can Do About It, will speak about what we can do about it. Jeff has recently launched a national organization to work for a Consitutional Amendment called American Promise. He is from MA and worked in the Attorney General's office in the past. He's an excellent speaker. This is a good opportunity to introduce friends and colleagues to the amendment process...feel free to invite others.
Also, feel free to invite others to the meeting. Hope to see you there.
