We the People MA/North Shore (and
other affiliates
across the state) is
working to pass the We the People Act which calls for Congress to send an amendment to the states establishing that: - Money is not speech and
- Corporations cannot be granted the rights given to humans in the Constitution.
- Further, it says that, if this does not happen within 6 months of when the bill clears the MA legislature, this bill also calls for an Article V (People's) convention.
In order to accomplish this, we need the PARTICIPATION of all of you! Here is a new effort; please consider joining in!
We are trying to get endorsements from local businesses which will be sent on to the Legislature. Because it refers to taking away the rights of corporations, many legislators have concern about how local business owners will feel about this. I am attaching a fact sheet and also a signature sheet and the letter that signatures would attach to that
will be
sent to leaders in the Legislature. Do you have thoughts about local businesses to approach?
If you know business owners, please speak to them about it and gather signatures.
