I'm writing to invite you to the second-ever call of the nascent Solidarity Research Network. We are a loose network of militant researchers that seeks to build beautiful counterhegemonies together, to redistribute power and resources.
We define solidarity research as activity carried out by directly impacted communities in order to create a new world. Be it workers on the shop floor charting the vulnerabilities of their employer or communities mapping the race and class of gentrification and displacement in their neighborhood.
The second-ever call will feature two projects — anarchist political economy and food chain organizing led by Zapatismo farmworkers. By learning of each others' struggles, we can apply lessons to our deeply local work. The hope is that collectively we can build upon translocal struggles to craft coordinated strategy.
We hope you'll join us on Saturday the 31st! Please RSVP by Thursday, 1/29 so we can get a head count. If you can't make it, let us know if you'd like to be kept in the loop about future meetings.
