Hey Poets of Portland!
There is an attempt at another occupation at the sw park blocks. They
had up walls, but the police took them down. Seems like their all
standing around now eating some lunch. Impromptu political poetry
slam?? I'm not involved in the poetry world, but I thought I'd put a
call out to this group!

Yr gonna wait a while
for online poets to decry
this world and change it.
Their keyboard fingers
are too slow, too used
to being able to check things,
to coordinate. Online poets
check their emails couple times a day,
more often than they make tea.
Too much tea makes poets soggy
too much typing makes poets weak.
(Poets without computers
yesterday cuddled on granite slab
together nine hours saying
beautiful words listening
when other poets spoke)
