Hello all,

I wanted to let you know of some up coming opportunities for gardening & food activism in SE Pdx,
as I am affiliated with the Se Garden crew as well as being an active gardener  at home, work and in the community.

First off some low income Occupy affiliated women have asked for help getting gardens set up
in their yards.

1) Angela Hill,  you may know her from the We Are Oregon Campaign, she has been successfully(?) fighting forclosure.
Her location is off of 120th & Division  an she's like to start sooner rather than later.  I believe she plans to take responsibility once it is set up.

2) Raina , a woman with health issues, her home is near Se 82nd.  She is more ona fall time line and is interested in a collaborative model, more offering up space than feeling she can handle it all on her own once it is set up

Finally there is a site the SE Garden Group has gotten rolling on at SE 56th and Gladstone,  it has been gardened before and is nicely fenced off, a really sweet spot,  help & collaboration welcome.

Also I have a lead on free Mature horse manure and think I can pick it up on Wed's or Thursday with my friend's truck but would hope for help unloading.

I have lots of questions and wonder when  in person meetings are planned,  I do not see them listed.

Also I'm active in the GMO labelling campaign & want to help organize that with Occupy some more

Please feel free to contact me to discuss or collaborate.....

Hi,

I've never posted but have been following along since the beginning.
I have 1000s of baby kale starts in my back yard (from my own plants last year).
We use no chemicals in our garden and would love to share some of this bounty.

Bad thing is my house is wayyy out in the I-5 / I-20 triangle in Lake Oswego...

Let me know if someone wants to come out.
You'd need pots & a little soil too.
I have shovels :)
