Late Reminder

Just a quick/late reminder about the community read: The New Jim Crow by
Michelle Alexander. It takes place tonight (Wednesdays) at the Family
Partnership Center at 6 pm, followed by the GA at 7 pm. Odell Winfield has
additional books for those who would like to participate.

So happy to see a group is reading this book and discussing it. I am reading
it also. Just started and was emailing friends to read it.
Too tired after work to go to the Center but look forward to any discussions
later in the community about the New Jim Crow.

Thanks for your note. It's great to hear that many people are reading the
book. It is excellent. We haven't been getting many people to come to the
reading, so we decided last night that we needed to start again in 4-5
weeks. But we're also looking to have a different speaker come for each set
of chapters. Perhaps that would be something you would be interested in.
We're hoping that the when spring is here, people might have more energy for
after-work gatherings.
