Suggestion to move event to Sadie Peterson Delaney Library.

Ask if someone in caravan can do anti-oppression training & facilitation.

Spencer will talk to Rich & Ethan who are roadtrip contacts.

Vonn will talk to Media WG about collaborating on press release.

Alex will create a flyer. Post file on googlegroup. Chk w/ Tim on duplication under GAP.

Updates on recent work:

Days of Action & MLK day -
MLK: good turnout, speeches, great action by Occupy.
4 Days of Action: Tue morning Potluck breakfast GREAT biscuits, coverage by La Voc, great bridge building to Hispanic community, March article will encourage participation. Katia leading a follow up w/ event.
Post-MLK Think Tank - constructive conversation.

Flyer needed to have a weather location listed.

Smith Street - Canvassers in project found problems w/ heat & hot water not working for months, mold issues. No one in power was doing anything. Mother Perry, May Parker Harris (community activist), Kia Bel, Ruth Jackson (Dutchess Outreach) started own canvass. Start 1/1 prbs were starting to resolve. Community ppl did not want to join opk in bringing up @ common council. Activists want leaflet to distribute in public housing: What to do if you have a problem. Need help composing and producing leaflet. Everybody wants to do it. Julia and 2 other volunteers.

Outreach to Churches and African American Community

MLK event was good start, need to follow up.
Invite to 2/6 event.

Millbrook Library - Norm & Jeff. 2/11 10 a.m.

Book Group @ Sadie Peterson Delaney reforming and build around speaker series. Mid-March to end of school year. Wed @ 6p.m. Topic: The New Jim Crow.
