Outreach group issues/meeting times

Hi, everyone--

Looking at the snow falling, it's perhaps a good idea that we didn't have
any plans to meet this weekend. Perhaps we all need some time to recover
from the days of action last weekend.

I don't know if the GA had a chance to discuss Tom's concerns last night:

I think that some overlap is unavoidable, but I do see the groups as having
distinct mandates or missions. In my mind, the media group focuses on
communication with the general public (through web, fb, etc.) and contact
with media outlets; the community outreach group focuses on building
contacts to other organizations and populations with an eye to bringing more
people into the movement.

In any case, we in the outreach group should probably think about developing
an agenda for our next meeting and deciding when we want to meet. I'm happy
to continue to arrange for meeting space at Vassar College, but we should
decide on a day and time. We have been meeting on Saturdays at 11, but we
also have tried to coordinate our time with the meetings for the foreclosure
group (since there are some members in both).

Are there any preferences?

I did appreciate the Saturday mid-morning time because there are already a lot of weekday evening commitments between the GAs and other outreach groups. I would like to keep it on the weekend if possible.
