Hi, everyone--
I just wanted to pass on information about two upcoming events:
1) The start of the Community Read and Lecture Series on Issues of Race and Imprisonment in the U.S. It will take place every other Wednesday at 6 pm (starting tomorrow) at the Sadie Peterson Delaney African Roots Library, which is located on the second floor of the Family Partnership Center, 29 North Hamilton Street. See flyer below with information about the guest speakers for each session. All sessions are open to the public, so if you can’t make it all of them, you can come to the ones that interest you or fit your schedule. There is ample parking in the lot across the street, and the lectures/discussion will be followed by GA.
2) The Greene County Council on the Arts is devoting its annual show to the topic: Wall Street to Main Street (WS2MS) from March 17-May 31 in Catskill, with the opening on March 17, from 2-8 pm. One of the exhibitors attended Sunday's GA to talk about his own interactive exhibit on Zuccotti Park. He would love it if people who spent time in Zuccotti would come and participate. I'm attaching his flyer, and here is a link to the show: http://www.greenearts.org/exhibitions/mastersonmain/ws2ms
