Private Health Insurance Is Not A Socially Responsible Investment!

What: Demonstration outside the annual TIAA-CREF Shareholder meeting to challenge their investments in the corrupt private health insurance industry! 

Where: TIAA-CREF HQ, 730 3rd Ave, btw 45th and 46th Sts, Manhattan
Transit: #4, 5, 6, 7 or S Shuttle train to Grand Central - 42 St; E, M to Lexington Av.-53 St. (east exit, nearest Queens, to 3rd Av. & 53rd); M42 bus via 42nd St.; M50 via 50th; buses via 2nd Av. or via 3rd or Lex. Av.

When: Tuesday, July 17th, 12:30pm - 1:30pm 

Why: TIAA-CREF members were shocked to find out that their Socially Responsible Investment packages have holdings in private health insurance companies. It is well-documented that these companies: 

- Bankrupt policy holders.
- Pay exorbitant CEO salaries while denying necessary healthcare.
- Spend millions lobbying for positions that conflict with the beliefs of the majority of people.
