Hey all! I wanted to let you know that Multiple organizations are coming together to celebrate our safety nets birthday.

Medicare, Medicaid (OHP) and Social Security. Along with making this a family fun event we will have mulitple action items going on like the photo petition and discussion and tools to support HR 733, if passed federal cuts to Social Security and Medicare would be off the table in a time of budget cuts! This is awesome and would be great to put some time behind.

 

What: Birthday Party Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security - Celebrate,  Protect, Improve and Expand!

Where Creston Park at SE 44th and Powell

When: Saturday August 4th 2012  12pm -4pm (the park spot is actually reserved for all day.) Brink your own food and drinks...we think. you can bring some brewskies too if you are so inclined. Family friendly party. We will aslo be discussing the rally in Salem on February for Single Payer healthcare. Our goal is 1- 2 thousand pp. Please save that date as well. We will start planning for that more after this event. (There is a pool located at the park for you or kids!)
