For a short piece to run Saturday (Guy Fawkes Day), SS reporter Mike Clary would like to hear from OPB members what they think of the Guy Fawkes mask and its significance for the movement.
Speaking for myself, I told him it makes me uneasy because our movement is non-violent, saying something like "Guy Fawkes wanted to blow up Parliament where we want to make it work. We believe in representative government."
But that's just my opinion. Others may differ. And in any case, I wouldn't agree to let him use my name, so he needs somebody else.
Anyone who wants to sound off on this, let me know and I'll hook you up.

how about just saying the mask symbolizes the struggle of the faceless
masses against tyranny.

On the topic of violence, turn the question towards the violence used
by the state against people who opposed the ruling class...Guy Fawkes
was tortured mercilessly, then broke his own neck to avoid execution.

Also, I'd keep in mind the part... 'Remember, remember the 5th of
November' as it's also the same date selected as 'Bank Transfer Day'.

I dont feel the need to explain it to anyone... but I think its our
solidarity with Anonymous who support wikileaks, Anon are the only
ones fighting for us anymore, punishing police brutality, promoting
transparence in govt and trying to help 'out' bad secrets the powerful
have been keeping from us. I've been reading everything they do, and
they're like little Robin Hoods for us regular people. Anyway good
luck finding someone...
