I think the food committee needs to get together either in person or through this google group so we're all on the same page as far as coordination of meals and if monetary donations will be used to help subsidize the buying of ingredients or food as the people occupying begin to increase.  Fir example: # of people to feed, would someone prefer to do breakfast, lunch or dinner? Thoughts anyone?

I will ask Rachel tomorrow.

Thanks Sarah. I think the committees will run smoother if we all knew who was on what committee and they could communicate and set up a schedule. I know for me lunch or dinner is good because I think the occupiers are up pretty early and ready to eat before I could even get something ready and get it down there since I live out west.

Also, more than one person could provide the meals with each person providing a different portion, i.e., main meal, side dishes, soup, dessert, etc. A food tent would help too. I have a long folding table I could bring - it's not that long of a table, but would help. Or meals could be served at the location where we originally had our GA's - since there are chairs and tables over there. Just my suggestions.

I also think food and supplies should be separate groups.

Would we have to pay to get in or just protest outside the pig-nic area? Either way I think you're right! Only problem is it conflicts with the general assembly meeting...

I don't think they'd let us in, but protesting outside near it would be good.  It's a public park so I don't see how they could keep people out.  I personally think a 4 hour GA is a little much.  If it were from 10am-noon, then a march or protest for anyone who wants to go at the picnic area.  Would have to be discussed.

P.S.  Love the "pig-nic" area spelling.

Did you ever get an email list of people who want to be on the food committee so you could set up a google group?
