Opinons on teacher and student participation

Dear Occupy Oakland participants,

Hi, my name is Betsy and I am a reporter for the student newspaper at
UC Berkeley, the Daily Californian. I am writing an article on student
and teacher absences from Oakland and Berkeley school districts during
the General Strike yesterday. Current estimates say that hundred of
teachers were absent from Oakland schools on the day of the rally.

I was hoping to get an opinion on the participation of students and
teachers from people involved with Occupy Oakland. Why do you believe
these groups are important? What do they add to the Occupy Oakland
movement? Would you say that they are some of the largest groups
involved with the movement? If you are a teacher/student from Berkeley
or Oakland, why are you involved in the movement?
