ABC 7 interview

Amy Hollyfield from ABC 7 is trying to confirm reports that bean bag bullets were used on us last night. I know the OPD said they used them during the early morning raid, but they say that they didn't during the evening and into the night. Other agencies could have used them. Amy wants to talk to someone who saw that, got injured, or saw someone get injured. I know at least two people were hurt by something, whether it was canisters from the tear gas or bean bag bullets or whatever. If you want to speak with her, call before 10am at 415-672-9147. She said she wants to "give us a megaphone" about what happened last night. Beware though, ABC's coverage has been totally skewed so far. Don't be rude, but be sure that what you are saying is very clear, they may try to take it out of context.

from being hit in the head by a gas canister last night. Does anyone
know who that is, or if he/she is out yet?

I don't do interviews, and am not looking to be named (yet?), but I can assure you that I was hit in the chest with what I am told was a "pepper ball" yesterday evening sometime about 8:30pm as I was photographing and video recording, with my Indybay press pass around me neck.  The "ball" contained a very stinky white chalk-like substance. I now have a red and welted wound caused by the Alameda sheriff projectile.

If you want to say independent journalist targeted by projectile I'm okay with that

Yes, I took photos once I got home.

At the scene, I was actually documenting another guy being targeted and then the shooter turned and targeted me.  I likely have something from the incident on video.

I'm not sure if anyone has taken up the task of writing a press release. I find myself at a loss for words after last night, but I do want to relay a quick story. Last night a homeless man came to me asking for money for food at 14th & Broadway, he pointed to the plaza and said "I've been eating there lately, but now that it's gone I'm back to asking for money."
 
Occupy Oakland was doing what Oakland city government can't quite grasp "Helping the community." It's a sad day in such a great city, my heart is sad.

My process has basically just been sending reporters the phone numbers of people who would like to be interviewed, and then letting them figure it out. We could start another list on PasteBin and make that interview subjects. We should have people note on there where they have been interviewed, to avoid one face being out there all the time.

I have not been interviewed yet and will be there tonight, but I can't make it until about 7:30, work obligation, I'm not doing much of it lately!! I will have a sign with me that says "This is what democracy (crossed out) A police state looks like" LOok for me!

exactly, i am worried about one face there repeatedly and it seems that is how the mainstream media operates. lets please starte that list so we can rotate as many as possible who are part of this movt.
