Apologies for any cross-posting. I wanted to invite you to a major partner briefing call on Tuesday, November 8th at 12:30 EST (full details below). Join us for the latest data and polling on young adults and their views on the economy, Congress, student loans, etc.
The call is on a new report and poll of young adults just released by Young Invincibles and Demos—The State of Young America: The Economic Barriers to the American Dream-- that present the latest data behind the profound economic challenges facing America’s young people. The full report and poll can be found at StateOfYoungAmerica.org. The exclusive national poll asks young people their views on topics like economy and jobs, higher education, health care, top priorities for Congress, worries about the future, likelihood of voting, etc. and was conducted by Lake Research Partners and Bellweather Research & Consulting.
I hope you can join us for the partner briefing call, where you'll be able to ask questions directly of the pollsters and hear all the key findings of the report. Thank you,
Aaron Smith
Executive Director, Young Invincibles

The State of Young America reports analyze economic indicators in five key areas: jobs and the economy, higher education, raising a family, cost of living, and health care and coverage. Here are some highlights from the reports:
Ř Just over half (53 percent) of young workers have seen earnings increases over the past four years, leaving 46 percent of the working population with stagnant or even decreasing earnings across the period.
Ř When asked what Congress’ top priorities should be, young Americans want them to focus on jobs, education, and on ensuring that Social Security is available for their generation.
Ř Latinos are the most frustrated with their personal financial situation (60 percent reported it as just fair or poor), followed by African Americans (55 percent) and whites (50 percent).
Ř Many young Americans are falling into personal debt. Forty-two percent of those under age 35 have more than $5,000 in personal debt that does not include a mortgage.
Feel free to be in touch if you want any further information on the webinar, report, graphics, or poll.
