Besides organizing logistics on how to get those who
are interested to Phoenix in November, we also want to discuss
solidarity actions in the Bay Area and what that might look like.
We want to not
only support Arizona
and their call to action, but also build the resistance locally,
knowing that ALEC affects communities all over the country. ALEC's
influence is wide in scope, and touches everything from the border and prisons, workers rights and health care, to environmental
policy. Resistance to ALEC could be a unifying force for all working in
seemingly separate struggles.
Please feel free to come, share your thoughts, learn more, and help us plan what resisting ALEC in the Bay Area will look like.
