To the General Assembly of Occupy Oakland:

 

I am writing on behalf of Homeless Action Center, a non-profit with offices in Downtown Oakland and South Berkeley.  We work with homeless and disabled individuals residing in Alameda County, helping them access the public benefits to which they are entitled.  We have all been incredibly inspired by the dedication, resilience and kindness of those participating in the occupation.

 

We write to inform you that we endorse tomorrow’s strike and are closing our doors in solidarity with those striking tomorrow.
