College students Getting Involved

[The Public Designs]

We are The Public Designs, formed of three college students/artists in Santa Monica, CA. 

We have been pushing our limited resources to create shirts with a message with a goal of creating a sense of awareness in our community as for now but go as wide as all over the world by running into others that is there to reach out a hand. The Occupy movements has really been a boost for us since they have started because we have had similar thoughts and ideas about a year ago when we were taking our baby steps. The reason we are emailing Occupy Oakland is because we have been in touch with a group of professors at our college and we have created a shirt design that we believe send out the right message. Our professors have been really pushing us to get our shirt design out to the Occupy movement and to make it part of the movements icon. 

So we have brought it up to the Occupy Santa Monica College board meeting and they have also been showing interest and told us to take it further and so we emailed Occupy Los Angeles and now Occupy Oakland and every other Occupying body as well. 

We would really love to contribute in this world which has become detached, individualistic, and heartless. We are looking to find the people with the warm hearts to help us nudge others to wake up to give out hands for others in need in this global economical stress. 

We would love to get involved and be involved in this movement for change by contributing with what we love, which is designing shirts with a message. If anyone could take the time to have a word with us, we strongly believe that we can become as ONE by looking the same while sharing the same mind set and expressing our ideas.
