Fyi - Occupy Honolulu is endorsing this event and we encourage all who can to participate in it!
Brothers & Sisters,
Thursday, November 17th, 2011 will be a National Day of Action sponsored by Occupy Wall Street, MoveOn.org, various labor unions and other organizations. It is to call Congress’ attention to the November 23rd, 2011 deadline of the Budget SuperCommittee and our desire to preserve the middle-class, put workers back on the job to fix the country’s infrastructure and to preserve Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. As you are well aware, working families are under attack now more than ever. This is our chance to air our grievances and have our voices heard! While this is short notice and it will be difficult to mobilize the various membershipss, it is an opportunity to show your members that you lead from the front.
What I’m proposing is an Occupy the Bridge Demonstration at the bridge to Waikiki on Ala Moana Blvd on 11-17-11 between the hours of Noon & 1 PM.
