Dear all,

The University Board of the VU Amsterdam (Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam) wants to slash the budget by 33 million till 2015. This will mean 500-600 lay offs of administrative employees along with a severe reduction of the quality of education and research at the university. The staff of the VU does not remain silent. We have formed the platform ‘Concerned for the VU’ (Verontruste VU’ers) and we are trying to turn the tide together with the unions and the Works Council.

Please take the time to read and (if you agree) sign the petition for the staff of the VU University Amsterdam.
