A wonderful GA out there yesterday!  Felt the power of connection!

Just wanted to offer here the minutes from the Supplies & Logistics group which met.

Present: Bob, Giancarlo, and circulating with input: Frenchy, Phil, Robert, Cat and others if I didn't get your name I apologize.

Many campers offered their needs.  Campings basics have been running pretty smooth.  Food provisions good.  Other necessities good so far. Spirits clear around this.

A division of labor is being formed, particularly having contact person(s) for supplies pickup and drop off.  Some numbers exchanged which I will not post here, which began the process of logistical communication.

Bob offered his truck for any pickups and dropoffs and the movement of camp materials

Here is a list of the growing supplies needs: Note: subject to capacity to contain added materials as well as taking in to account growing numbers of campers.

1. more campers
2. portable power supply such as 4 car batteries and inverter (2 present on site continuously); generator? (issue of noise)
3. live video streaming setup
4. AA   AAA   C batteries
5. water
6. reading materials - particularly with facts about the economic crisis
7. card table
8. Parasol/patio umbrellas
9. non-perishable healthy food items
10. sunscreen
11. ironing board
12. portable DVD player/TV
13. tarps
14. electrical generator/solar power source
15. flashlights
16. coleman type stove / with fuel
17. tobacco
18. laundry pickup
19. food not bombs connection (Russel left message with them, Cat offered to make introduction) ** More on this in update.
20. coffee maker
21. folding chairs (issue with sit/lie ordinance came up around this)
22. fruit and vegetable
23. radio transmitter/mixing board/mics: about $30 online at Ramsey's to be used to broaden the 10 watt limited radio transmission
24. laser printer / paper (Jeff, a supporter, has a laser printer that he can indefinitely loan until another is provided: Giancarlo to followup with him on acquiring the printer).
25. hand truck / dolly / wagon
26. PA system
27. list of contact persons and their roles
28. an alternative "safe" site like a vacant lot which can be utilized as base camp

Thanks to all who offered their insight into what supplies are needed as this process continues.

Hi Giancarlo - I have a coffee maker and I also have a laser printer I
can give to the group. I'm way out in Antioch though. I have a car
and can meet up with you or Bob in the east bay if you guys are in
this area. I also work in Concord during the day M-F, if that helps.
Alternatively I can bring them to Justin Hermann myself but I can't be
there until tomorrow evening. Email me directly (my gmail is
markgo59) and we can trade phone#s to coordinate.

two others have offered their printers so generously already.  I think if you have a printer then bring it down to the site ASAP.  Then once that item is secured, we can cross it off for now.

the site is at Justin Herman Plaza...

Thank you to everyone who has been generous in donating items.  I think it would be wise to go ahead and bring items down to the campers.  This way if you haven't had a chance to be at ground zero as it were this is a good opportunity.  Everything is appreciated!!!!

Hi everyone,

This has probably been brought up by I thought I'd stress the need for mobile phones or some type of phone cards for the occupiers. I was down with the protestors today and I spoke with Mike and he stressed the importance of some sort of communication device since most of them don't have any phones. He said one or two would be good to help them coordinate when someone is heading out from the camp and it would also help in order for them to communicate with some of us more directly as well.

Integrity is adherence to one's code of moral values.
A person who consistently acts in accordance with a generally accepted moral code is ethical.
Someone who preaches a high standard of morality but selectively acts otherwise is hypocritical.
