All,
Thank you for your support thus far. We're less than two weeks from the end of our crowd funding campaign for the Permaculture Action Tour, which will allow a team of permaculture educators and community organizers to go on a national tour with a major music producer. We'll be joining The Polish Ambassador, Ayla Nereo, and Mr. Lif for 32 shows across the country from San Francisco to New York City to teach permaculture, urban sustainability, and food justice at major venues; to bring people from local groups and organizations out to each show to speak and table about the work they do locally; and afterwards invite everyone to a project day in their city.
These projects will focus on putting people's hands in the dirt to build spaces that are conducive to community and healthy ecological living. Some of the actions we'll be taking include planting a public food forest in a downtown area, plastering a natural building of an off grid cabin, planting a children's garden in a permaculture gathering space in Los Angeles, transforming a lawn into a productive edible garden in a 'food desert' neighborhood, and plating a community fruit orchard on public land.
Please support us here to make this all possible:

The more we raise, the more we can do. We're bringing the Lexicon of Sustainability educational poster set into over thirty major venues, providing people with resource lists of groups and ways to get involved in their city, projecting footage of inspirational work that is being done around the world, and grounding all of it in hands-on action days that teach and demonstrate the power we each have.
All the while we'll be immersing people in an experience that reaches to those searching for community, healing, and happiness and shows them a route to attain these in a long lasting way - through transforming the urban environment where we live to be in greater balance with natural ecology, and shifting the way we relate to each other to embrace mutual aid and people care.
Already, this tour is catalyzing local community organizing across the entire country. People are stepping up to reach out to the groups and individuals in their area who are making the transition and seeking out space to create places that will foster social and ecological balance. Folks are connecting with each other, sharing their visions, and bringing them into being. Observers are becoming supporters as supporters become organizers and we all move toward taking action.
Together, we can build the world we want to live in.
Thank you for being part of this,
Ryan Rising
