Hi Robert,
The purpose of "group" is to have automatic inclusion of each member in
any given exchange. Think of a bunch of people sitting around a table
having a conversation. Any one person can tune in or tune out, but every
person has the opportunity to participate.
This group begins a statewide network to discuss the problems of
networking, communicating, the media choices we have, publicity, and
outreach. It will help the groups across the state to be aware of each
other and help us coordinate.
How many people should join? My goal, and this can be changed by group
discussions, is to help the bulk of Occupiers NOT NEED to join the
network, because there are some people who are communicating with
everyone in their local area and with the statewide. Of course, in the
ethic and culture of Occupy, anyone can join. The operative question is
How do we do networking? I have proposed a model in which a limited core
of people from across the state are in rapid communication with each
other, and rapid communication with the members of a local area. I have
called this the "human infrastructure" of the network.
I have attached the Introduction which I sent to the other people on
this list.
