I just want to say how exciting it is to read the emails that detail
the activities and energy that is being generated. I passed my M.A.
final and have chosen to continue at La Sierra, taking classes that
will provide the qualifications to become a licensed counselor (as a
non-denominational pastor, I am increasing my skill set and my income
potential). My class this quarter is on Wednesday nights.
Thinking about my activism, I wonder about looking up progressives in
the Hemet Valley, where I work at a hospice agency and am planting a
new church - that might work well because I believe in the importance
of religious organizations adding their support to movements for
justice as part of what it means to serve the spiritual needs of
communities (Dr. King said without this, we have "dry as dust"
religion). I have also received an invitation to become more involved
with the Green Party of Riverside County, which I am considering. But
I am a little too busy right now to do much.
Thank you for the continuing stand and bold action of Occupy Redlands.
You all are amazing.
