Wow. Just watched this. I know that I'm new to the group. But my first response is I'm sorry you are going through this. You need to feel good about what you are doing, especially if you are not getting paid.
Personally, I feel your pain. I had a project myself here at Occupy LA called Occupy Fights Hunger. I managed to sustain it for about six months. But after it became clear that I was doing 80-90% of the work, I reluctantly folded it, even though it was obviously a worthy project that helped a lot of people. So don't feel that you are alone in this feeling of being overworked and demoralized. I think it must happen a lot in volunteer organizations. And it is important for you to feel good about what you do. Otherwise both you and the work will suffer.
That said, since I have been on this google group, you have sent out many emails, and not that many people respond. So I don't know if the responses go only to you or to everyone in the whole group; but I'd be curious to see how many people respond to this one. Because this is a biggie. If you don't get at least 50% of the people who are in the group responding, then that tells you something. There probably is not enough interest or commitment to continue the show.
As I told you when we chatted on FB yesterday, I think we may want to start fresh with some new people that we may be able to solicit from an interoccupy call. It would be great to make the show more national in coverage and then we might be able to get it on a national cable cahannel like Link TV or Current. If we get it on a national channel, we may be able to get sponsors and maybe people can get paid. I know that Occupy is supposed to be about mutual aid, and we don't believe in the capitalist system. But hey, people have to live. And there's something about that paycheck that keeps people doing what they're supposed to do on time every week.
So these are my initial thoughts. I personally would be sad to see the show die just after I started participating. But there has to be some sort of quorum and consensus to keep it going.
