Going off the weekly schedule for the winter season

Hi, everybody. Svet and I have rethought our strategy. It's clear that we
need to take a break from the weekly schedule and spend the winter season
rebuilding this organization, setting up the office and studio space(s),
firming up and building on our connections around the nation, coordinating
efforts with other Occupy media here in NYC, attracting more local staff,
and finding other outlets for our work, including other public access
stations and venues outside of public access TV.

In the meantime, we will embark on a third season of production, but this
season will not be weekly, may not air on public access TV at all, and
little or none of its episodes will be confined to public access TV's
28-minute format. We will go straight to YouTube, and work on an as-can
basis. As-can means no sleep deprivation, no full-time or overtime hours,
and no stressing out, while remaining committed to covering the movement to
a reasonable extent. Most likely our episodes will be shorter, and when we
cover news items we will probably put them on YouTube as single segments,
whenever they are ready. This will enable us to cover the news in a more
timely way, which should greatly increase our hit numbers.

I think our goal should be to gradually raise our production level back to
weekly, so we're ready to come back on air on the Spring, but do it by
bringing in more and more part-time workers rather than going back to being
overtimers ourselves.

I'm feeling very positive about the course we're charting and I hope you all
will feel that way, too.
