Check out our last half-hour, weekly program for... Well, at least the next
three months. We're making big changes at OPATV and I can't tell you when
our next upload will be. Having said that, I'd say we've ended the season
with a bang! This is a powerful episode.

Episode 2.10 focuses on the protests and community organizing of Saturday,
December 15, in the face of government neglect of the Sandy crisis.

After a brief news flash about the arrests of top Deutsche Bank officials
www.bit.ly/OPATV-0210-DB we visit the Occupy Sandy relief center at 520
Clinton as bike activists from Times Up! arrive to cart by bicycle needed
supplies 20 miles to the Rockaways www.bit.ly/OPATV-0210-Bike Then we visit
a spirited rally and march in the Rockaways www.bit.ly/OPATV-0210-Rock and a
heartbreaking tour of ruined homes in Staten Island
www.bit.ly/OPATV-0210-Staten Finally, we protest outside Mayor Bloomberg's
home and are repelled by NYPD, who arrest and brutalize livestreamer Jack
Amico www.bit.ly/OPATV-0210-Moldberg.

Enjoy and share!

This is a very good show.  I would have started with the last woman's quote and then had a card saying earlier that day and then showing the horrible runaround the homeowners have to go through.  I thought the first third was the least compelling part of the show and was a bit repetitive.  The middle and the end were the most interesting to me.  It would be great to get it to someone in the mayor's office and get an official comment.

Merry Christmas, by the way.

Lauren DiGioia excoriating the cops?

The Rockaways section, or the bikers?

Yeah, or NYPD. I want to know the outcome of Jack's lawsuit. That arrest was
caught by three livestreamers as well as Robert Chin and myself. Robert's
shows the police brutality most clearly. I ID'd the cop by frame-by-frame
study of his badge in another shot.

Oh, thanks-whatever. I dislike this holiday intensely and this year am
grateful for how easily I could ignore it. A very low-profile Christmas.
Well, all the best of the New Year to you! (which, by my reckoning, started
with the winter solstice. I also hate the Gregorian calendar and the way
Americans celebrate New Year's.)

I like a linear story.  First, show the problem - the homeowners and how they were getting screwed.  Then show the bikers who were helping them.  Then show the protesters in the streets of the Rockaways - but cut that part in half.  Then end with the showdown in front of the mayors.  But show Lauren at the top of the show just to whet the viewer's appetite for the eventual showdown.

I liked the ID of the cop.  But somewhere you had a picture of some guys face in the top left hand corner.  I couldn't figure out what that was.
