Our food is tied to a large and multi-part system, involving huge amounts of natural resources (land, oil, water), labor (farm workers to restaurant servers), processing, transportation (importing and exporting),socio-economic development, public safety and waste disposal (land fills). This food system is neither practical or sustainable.
