Hey All,

I went through the talking points that were put up. For everyone who didn't get a chance to look at my outline for the first show. I really want to spend the bulk of the half-hour talking about Citizens United and the Occupy the Courts event on January 20th. Counting all the points and subpoints from the google doc, there are almost 50 things on that list which would give us a little over 30 seconds to cover each and everything on this list. I just want to make sure we are all on the same page here. If this is a list of points is to make sure we don't run out of topics to talk about, this is great. But if we are supposed to get all these points into the show, there is no way we can get all these in. For example right now I'm not informed enough to talk intelligently on how the returning soldiers are going to effect the job situation in the United States. That sounds like a complicated topic that we could spend a whole show on in itself. If you guys could send me something that gives me the hierarchy of all these subjects. I would really appreciate it. I want to make sure I don't leave something out that someone feels is crucial. Also if anyone has good audio from any of the marches please email them to me a mnick...@yahoo.com

Thanks everyone,
Mike

Mike and All,

I'm going to interpret that list as suggested talking points for ongoing shows, not required for this particular half hour.
Of course we can't cover all that in half an hour.
And the way the show has been pitched so far, it involves focusing on a particlular subject, for the most part, during each show.
So, with Occupy the Courts happening on the 20th, it makes sense to devote this particular half hour to that subject matter.
In addition to focusing on this subject, of course there will be an opportunity to briefly cover things like:  what is Occupy KC, where are we, how to get involved, what the next event is, contact info, and so on.
But to delve into other substantive issues would dilute the program entirely too much.

Jeremy,
Provide us with the critical details that you think need to covered for Occupy the Dream.

Jeff

Hey Jeremy,

Can you give us all the details on Occupy the Dream? The more details we have the more we'll have to say about it on air.

Mike
