Hey all -

I will catch up on our backlog re: the mediation project next week. Right now I am about to travel to Houston to join with occupiers from all over Texas. Tonight is the first Texas-wide general assembly. We are marching tomorrow on the Port of Houston in solidarity with the international #D12 actions.

I am attending as a citizen journalist and will try to avoid arrest if I can. I will be livetweeting on @kitoconnell. We are using the hashtags #TXGA for tonight and #GulfPortAction for tomorrow.

Some of us have already been tweeting in support of #D12 on the #OccupyBurners hashtag. Join in if you like.

Let's start a thread to share our plans for this day of action. How will you be participating? And after, share your stories.

Cheers,
Kit

2pm - hour of "receptive silence" at the 12th Street BART station with Pancho Ramos Stierle and others

March with Interfaith Group
I am writing to invite you and your faith community or organization
to participate with the Interfaith Tent @ Oakland in the shutdown of
West Coast ports next Monday, 12/12.

We will gather at two different times and locations and march as an
interfaith group within the larger march:

5:30am at the West Oakland BART station for the morning shift shutdown
3:30pm at the Frank Ogawa sculpture on Oscar Grant/Frank Ogawa Plaza

Provide a Listening Ear
I'm working hard to mobilize 18 hours of helpline service on this custom-built teleconferencing center:

I welcome any of the Interfaith folk to make use of the service for yourselves or for the people you are trying to help.  Note that there is no registration or identifying information required; just pick a number and call and you're in the lobby!  So you don't even need a printout of the above google doc - just a phone number.

If folks in your coalition are interested in contributing to the well-being of the people on the street in this way, please let me know when you/they are available on this chart:

The Safer Spaces emotional medic team met last night and expect to have a "safer spaceship" bus outside the barricades and possibly tents at various places along the route.  Carol Wolfley wrote down more about the location of the bus.  They will be wearing arm bands with a red heart, and they're meeting on Sunday night at 6:30 at 1015 MLK for tool kit preparation.
