after the GA tonight, the facilitation team discussed a bit about:
the core values vs step up step back vs sobriety recommendation, etc...

and all those are important but maybe we could say that GAs open with:

1. statement of core values (as determined by the infoscribes)
2. facilitator intro or invocation (Step up Step back, Sobriety, etc)
3. intro to process
4. the rest of the GA

But also, I could even imagine a GA where the core values and GA
process are so well understood, that there is no need to review them.
Seems like the facilitators should always use the opening part of the
meeting as an educational moment, to help build better participants.

Maybe the intro is up to the facilitation team's discretion. Maybe we
could say something like:

The GA invocation should be used as an educational moment, and agreed
upon by the facilitation team, prior to the meeting . Usually it
begins with a few temperature check questions, where the facilitator
can assess the knowledge level of those in attendance. The questions
might include:
+ Who is attending a GA for the first time? if none, then ask 'Who has
been to more than 3 GAs?'
+ Who knows how you show agreement?
+ What do you do if someone is just plain wrong? What if you don't
like what they are saying?
+ What do you do if someone encourages violence against humans?

After gathering information, the facilitator identifies a few key
pieces of information that many in the audience may not be aware of.
The GA invocation should frequently include:
+ that Occupy's Core Values
+ the Step Up/Step Back Principle
+ the Safer Safes agreement
+ general guidelines of Sobriety and Rationality
+ and especially an introduction to Meeting Process and Hand signals

something like that.

maybe we should start a working document that goes into more detail
than the tri-fold?
it could include the flowchart, maybe user stories about what can go wrong?
