Okay, for those of you I met at the 2nd GA, it was a pleasure, it's
unfortunate, but not surprising that I didn't get the chance to get up
there and invite other vets back to our table so we could link up.
I'm going to be honest, based on what I saw at the 1st and 2nd General
Assemblies, and the rapidly dwindling amount of time between now and
the 15th, I'll be interested to see what actually occurs on the 15th.
I hope and anticipate that the planners will at least be able to come
to a 60% plan that gets the ball rolling and we can build from there.
In my estimation, we're at a 10% plan right now but my planning style
is different than theirs. So, I'm going to adopt a 'wait and see'
stance on this thing before I go try selling it to other veteran's
groups. I do this knowing that the genie that has been let out of the
bottle with this awakening of the 99% and cannot be undone. I hope
that OccupyPittsburgh succeeds and that it takes off and snowballs.
But at this point, in the absence of any real plan, there is little I
feel I can contribute as a veteran to the planning process. As this
thing solidifies and I feel I see areas where I can contribute, as a
veteran, I'll pipe up. Waiting and watching. Brett
