I just read this post on Facebook, one of the OccupyPgh pages:
"I have secured 80lbs of potatoes , 8 cases of bottled water , 10 bags of powered milk, 4 cases of canned goods , 20 blankets , and 4 air mattresses as well as plywood , pallets and other materials , However after me and XxxxX delivered wood and chairs today, it was hard for this "bleeding heart liberal" parent of bi-racial children not to see the the racism that the wanna be voices of change were showing, I was appalled at my treatment by the "gentlemen " who headed the general assembly , and other racially insensitive comments , I will be speaking through what ever resources available to get my experience with OPP out that they and the world may know that this is not our movement , not the Peoples movement, not the better nature of ourselves movement , not the movement to affect change, not here in The Commonwealth , not in PGH. I see why there are no people of color represented , cause you have the type of people who would change nothing if it means letting go of the superiority complex....."
I left the names out for matters of privacy. Based on skimming the poster's profile they are listed as male and the person they mention appears to be a female person of color. This post was in regards to tonight's (Nov. 3rd) GA.

This is troubling to learn. Do we know who facilitated this evening's GA?
I have to admit, I'm disappointed that the author didn't mention any specifics as to racist treatment or racially insensitive comments. It would make it easier to figure out exactly what we need to confront. I would think unless the entire Assembly on that evening was racially homogeneous (and criminally clueless to boot), others would have picked up on what had upset the commenter.

i am getting message after troubling message about camp and its participants' racism, sexism and general misanthropy. People will be consulted and we wil solve this problem one way or another. Pm me any names of offenders - we're getting backup!
