Gentlemen,
The end of the season party is this Saturday May 28th at my house from 1pm until we run out of steam.
Before the festivities begin, we need your input to vote on the annual awards.
Please vote for each category before midnight Wednesday and apologies for the short turnaraound time:
1) Most Valuable Player - Kevin Anderson Award.
2) Most Valuable Forward.
3) Most Valuable Back.
4) Best New Forward.
5) Best New Back.
6) Bill Farmer Award - for Dedication & Inspiration.
7) Dennis Jablonski Award - for Leadership & Organization.
Please send your votes to me and I'll get the trophies sorted for Saturday.
The party will begin at 1pm, when the first of two kegs will be flowing. The first keg will be Stella, so show-up early and bring your wifebeaters to fully enjoy the ice cold brew. The second keg will be a domestic beer. We will have the BBQ fired-up with heaps of Italian sausages (not counting Dirty Phil) and chicken for your daily dose of protein. We are going pot luck for all the side dishes and dessert. So please bring your favorite side and/or sweet dish in large portions for all to share and enjoy.
For those players that are 100% paid in full for their 2011 dues, their will be a $10 charge to off-set the costs of the social. For those on payment plans or otherwise not paid in full for 2011, the cost will be $20 ($10 for social, $10 for dues). College side men's and women's players are invited to attend free of charge!
The venue is located at 3755 Colonial Avenue, LA 90066. We are located one block north of Venice Blvd. and one block east of Centinela Blvd. in West Los Angeles.
Supporters (meaning dogs, wives, children (or girlfriends, but preferrably not both) and Oxy Rugby fans) are all encouraged to attend and will be admitted free of charge to show our appreciation for their support this year.
So vote now and get your beauty rest this week to muster enough strength to fully enjoy a social that promises to provide plenty of entertainment value. Come early and be sure to bring a sleeping bag, as overnight camping is expected and encouraged. There will be no drunk drivers leaving this party, so if you plan to go big, organize a driver, or plan to bring a sleeping bag and stay over.
Cheers,
Guthrie
